10 facts for keeping safe in the sun

sunny days

We’ve had some gorgeous {very much appreciated} sunshine the past week or two.. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it wants to hang around all summer long! We’ve been making the most of it and spending as much time outdoors as we can. Long afternoons playing in the garden, evening walks to the park {that were even more fun last week when my Mum and her dog were here visiting} and picnic lunches.

It always catches me off guard, one minute there is no sun in sight and suddenly it’s full glare and we’re all a little pink on the noses! Our garden is great as there is some shade {especially over the sandpit where B spends 90% of his time}, but I’ve just dug out the suncream ready. For the kids {and me} I love the Green People Children Sun Cream, it’s gentle on sensitive skin {and even fine on eczema prone skin too} and protects my kiddos delicate skin.

We actually have several tubes – as I’m not always organised enough to remember to grab it {and living in Wales the sun can make a very unexpected appearance}. I keep a tube under the pushchair all summer as well as one in my handbag.

Here’s hoping that we will need lots of it this summer! Here are a few interesting sun facts for you:
