A Christmas cheese board with Urban Grains

I think that one of my favourite things about Christmas is the food. Especially cheese. Holy nom I love cheese! We’ve actually been cutting back on the dairy products in the past few months, as a vegetarian, it’s all too easy to fall into the ‘cheese on everything’ trap. Still, we both said that come Christmas we’d be buying in some really nice cheeses, as Christmas without cheese, wouldn’t feel like Christmas at all! Cheese, crackers and a fab chutney are the perfect snack to eat in an evening, sat in front of the fire with a Christmas movie playing.

Urban Grains sent me some chutneys and relishes to try out recently [oh it’s a hard life] and these two are the perfect accompaniments to a Christmas Cheeseboard. The Cherry Chutney is exactly the right amount of tart, paired with some brie it was amazingly delicious. Cherries are one of my favourite things and this chutney is so delicious, I think I’ll be eating lots of it this Christmas.

We’ve also been enjoying their Sweet Red Pepper Relish.. again, perfect on the cheeseboard, but it also goes really well in a baguette with some salad and slices of goats cheese.
