Summer fun with Fashion World

Hands up if you have been enjoying the sunshine as much as we have?! These past couple of weeks have been so nice – sunshine is so good for my soul. It makes such a difference being able to have doors and windows open wide, the house full of fresh air and the garden becoming an extension of the house.

When the weather is good, we live in the garden. We eat breakfast outside to the sound of birdsong, the kiddos spend the days playing outdoors – on the trampoline, in the pool, making pizza in the mud kitchen. We eat all our meals outside {SO good to not have to sweep the kitchen floor ten times a day!}, using the BBQ as often as possible, and often having a fire in the evening when the temperature drops a little.

We recently collaborated with Fashion World to get a few new things the kiddos needed for the summer. Kiki and Baya were both in need of new swimsuits and they got these absolutely gorgeous Monsoon bikinis – I am a little jealous they are so lovely! They’re perfect for days in the garden, but will be great when we get to the river or beach too.

Mr Beastie spotted this t-shirt whilst we were browsing the clothes and decided he needed one, he hasn’t taken it off since it arrived. Funny boy. We also picked him up this Thomas Tilt n Turn Scooter. He’d been using an ancient Barbie scooter, that I am pretty sure was Lola’s when she was his age! Needless to say, he was ridiculously excited to have a brand new scooter. It’s a great one for tots too, it has three wheels for easier balancing, you turn the handle to turn the scooter one way or another, and it has a break on the back wheel too. He’s been scooting everywhere on it the pst few days, he’s getting rather fast too – I may have to get a scooter of my own so that I can keep up with him.

We didn’t want to leave Lola out, yet she’s not really an outdoor kinda gal – preferring to be in her room reading or writing. Then we spotted a Pop Up Darth Vader game that we knew she’d love – and we were right, though she squeals everytime Darth Vadar pops up haha!

I think we’re all set for a fun summer, let’s just hope the sunshine stays around!
