Friday Finds

Friday Finds

Happy Friday! Hands up if you’re looking forward to the weekend? I know I am, for sure. While we aren’t stuck with school routines or 9-5 jobs, weekdays tend to be our busiest, with work, and kids projects, home ed groups, extracurricular groups…. it seems I don’t stop from Monday morning until Friday Night. I try to keep our weekends a little more low key, more unplugged and full of family time. Tomorrow we have friends coming over who we haven’t seen for years, totally looking forward to catching up.

My brain is extra fried this week whilst I’m trying to figure out GCSE options for Lola. Now she’s back out of school, I’ve been thrown in at the deep end of trying to figure it all out. Yikes!

Anyways… here’s a few ‘finds’ for you ahead of the weekend ~

* I’ve just made a batch of this Rosehip syrup with some rosehips we foraged.

* Totally want to make these Day of the Dead skulls with the kiddos soon!

* I just rejoined Creative Bug for a 2 month free trial – there are a few skills I want to teach myself over the winter, and the girls love their classes too.

* We’re off to the zoo tomorrow for The Enchantment of Chester Zoo – we can’t wait, last years event was so much fun!

* I’ve been trying these Puriton Vegan Meal Replacement Shakes out this past week, you can use them instead of breakfast/lunch but I’ve been having them as a post workout snack. They are packed with essential fatty acids (Omega 3, 6, & 9) and a complete source of protein. They taste really good, blend up well and keep you full for a long time. I’ve been having the vanilla one just whizzed with some almond milk, but they can also be blended with your favourite smoothie ingredients – the chocolate one works very well with a banana and a spoonful of peanut butter!

* These knitted slippers on next on my to-make list

* I’m planning on making these BBQ Lentils and this Frangipane Tart this weekend!

What do you have planned this weekend?
