Review| BillyOH Wooden Playhouse
My
The house arrived early one Saturday morning to the joy of excitable kiddos…unfortunately it rained for the next week so we had to wait for it to be built! Finally, we got a lovely sunny weekend, and Kiki and Papa spent the day out in the garden building it. While it’s a build yourself kinda playhouse – it really was fairly straight forward, the instructions were clear and easy to follow and everything was easy to put together. G’s pretty handy {being a trained joiner and all} but he said it was easy enough for anyone to put together, and that it was all really well made. The only issue we had was with the fascia at the front of the roof, as it split when we fastened it to the roof.. but it’s not overly noticeable.
The house itself is gorgeous… not too big, yet roomy enough for my three youngest kiddos to hide out in together. With perspex over the windows and a proper, felted roof, the house stays pretty warm and is always nice and dry inside – something we didn’t have with the plastic one. The girls love the stable door, we added the bolts to the outside so we could shut it up at night and stop the cats getting in there.
We carpeted the plahouse with some offcuts we had in the shed, and popped a few rag rugs on top too {as they’re easy to throw in the wash if they get dirty}, I made curtains last weekend for the windows and we’ve hung some bunting up. It’s a fantastic little hidey-hole for my kiddos, and they’ve already spent so much time in it! It’s the perfect size for our garden, and fits in the little nook in front of our playroom doors just right. We’re all looking forward to spending the summer playing outside… the girl

March 13, 2016 at 10:20I love this! We have a tiny garden and we don’t really use it because it’s too sunny for my fair children … A cute little playhouse would be perfect!
