Folly Farm Park Review

While we were staying at Bluestone a couple of weeks go, we took a day trip out to Folly Farm. We haven’t been to a farm park for ages, so were really excited to visit! We’d kind of expected to spend the morning there and then need to find something else to do. As it turned out we left 5 minutes before closing time!

There was so much to see and do, it’s a fantastic place for a day out. The girls {and us grown up’s!} were excited to find out they had some zoo animals there too. We started the day in the barn, seeing some cute ponies, goats, chicks and a couple of giant bunnies!

Kiki’s favourite part of the park was the piggery – especially the teeny tiny piglets – the little runt of the litter was so cute and very nearly came home with us ;) Baya loved the horses and ponies best of all, though she did declare it was “the best day ever” as we left!!

There are some great outdoor play areas as well as vintage funfair that is indoors – so whatever the weather there is plenty of fun things to do as well as animals to look at. We spent a good hour in the funfair after lunch, and while the rides aren’t included in the entry cost, they were really reasonably priced, most things cost no more than £1. They made me take a ride on the ferris wheel… which was, um, lovely {or horrid if like me you’re none to keen on being high up in something that rocks back and forth!!!}

Lola’s highlight of the day was finding the Capybara’s, she would probably have stayed looking at them all day if she could!

We really had a fantastic day, there was so much to see and do, it’s definitely a place I’d recommend a visit to if you’re visiting the area.

    Gorgeous photos! We went to Folly Farm last summer and we loved it. Especially the little tractors and track, and the Ferris wheel. The staff were really good too – G got a friction burn from one of the slides and they were so good at giving her first aid and calming her down when she got hysterical.

    That looks like a great place to spend a day! Great too that the things within the farm are reasonably priced, that makes such a difference when you have a big family!
