What a great weekend we had! More sunshine, lovely blue skies and warm too! Mind, the kiddos obviously thought it was the middle of summer given them running around in just underwear and throwing cold water all over themselves! Crazy. Saturday Lola spent at the museum where she is a young volunteer. Papa and I took the little two for a bike ride to the park in the morning before they had gymnastics in the afternoon.

He had to work in the evening, the kiddos and I had pizza and wedges for dinner then watched ‘Puss in Boots’ {papa had sneakily bought us some chocolates to share for our movie night!}

Sunday morning, Baya woke up wanting to make chocolate brownies, so that’s what we did! Plus I made the banana and oat cookies I shared yesterday. We decided to take the kiddos to the cinema. We haven’t been for ages, and the Moshi movie was playing on the Kids Club. So we got them up and dressed and took them out without telling them where they were going. We even managed to get them sat in the screen and the movie starting before they found out what they were watching! I think they loved it… not my favourite movie, but it made them giggle. Afterwards we popped home for lunch, grabbed their bikes and went to the park again. Baya picked a basket full of daisies while she was there too. We grabbed some compost and seeds on the way home, and ice lollies!

We spent the rest of the afternoon in the garden, playing, reading and planting seeds. We got strawberries, tomatoes, cucumber, butternut squash, lettuce, radishes, spinach, chillies, courgettes and sunflowers planted so far! It feels good to see my garden coming back to life after the winter.

All in all it was a great weekend, nothing special happened, just the five of us together, enjoying the weather and having fun! Here’s a little video from in the park on Saturday.

    Ah it sounds like a perfect weekend. Our weather a bit cold this weekend, it was sunny but with a freezing wind which made me wish for Summer, better than rain though! x

    What a gorgeous weekend! I’m looking forward to our girls growing up so we can do more of this, though some of it we can do now.
