A Christmas welcome

It’s always fun to have visitors, especially come Christmas time. I’ve often been told that my home is warm and welcoming, and that it ‘fits me’. This time of year we have extra family and friends coming to visit. I like to decorate the house so that it feels cosy and festive when they arrive. The living room is the ‘hub’ of our home. Through the wintertime, the fire is roaring and there are always fairy lights twinkling away.

A pretty, festive rug for in front of the fire, a beautiful white Christmas tree decorated in vintage baubles, twinkly lights above the fireplace, a Merry Christmas garland hanging on the wall and lots of snuggle cushions for the sofa – that is my idea of a warm and welcoming living room perfect for Christmas.
