Peppermint and Rosewater Sugar Scrub
The older I’ve gotten, the more I pay attention to what it is I’m using on my body. I pay attention to all those crazy sounding ingredients in creams and scrubs, and have learnt to not be lead in by the claims that they make. I’ve started making more and more of my own products , this sugar scrub is excellent at buffing away dead skin cells and leaving your skin feeling silky smooth – and you can make it with store cupboard ingredients!
I N G R E D I E N T S
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup sweet almond oil
1 tbsp rosewater
15 drops peppermint essential oil
It’s as simple to make as mixing everything together! I keep mine in a mason jar right in the bathroom. Use in the shower, scoop a little out into your hands and massage into your skin, and rinse with warm water!
Rosewater is great to use on skin as it is an anti-inflammatory, making it lovely and soothing {as well as smelling gorgeous!} A sugar scrub is great to use in the shower in a morning, the peppermint stimulates your brain and wakes you up, and the scrub leaves your skin lovely and smooth as well as stimulating your circulation.
