7 TED Talks That Will Help You Heal, Rebuild Confidence & Remember Your Worth
There are moments on this healing path where we just need someone to speak truth into our bones — to remind us we’re not broken, we’re becoming.
Over the past few years, I’ve returned again and again to these seven TED Talks. Each one holds something sacred: a spark of truth, a mirror of compassion, a voice that says, you’re not alone.
If you’re navigating healing from trauma, rebuilding your self-confidence, or simply trying to remember that you are enough, these talks are for you. Watch them slowly. Let them land. Breathe between each one. Maybe bring a journal, a cup of tea, and an open heart.
1. The Power of Vulnerability – Brené Brown
Brené’s words are a balm. She speaks to the courage it takes to be vulnerable — and how letting ourselves be seen is the doorway to true connection, joy, and healing.
💭 A journal prompt to try: What’s something I’ve been afraid to share, but long to speak aloud?
2. The Power of ‘I Am Enough’ – Marisa Peer
Marisa offers one of the most powerful affirmations I’ve ever embraced: I am enough. She explains how our minds believe what we tell them — and how repeating this simple truth can change everything.
💭 Try writing “I am enough” on your mirror. Say it every day.
3. The Art of Being Yourself – Caroline McHugh
This talk is a gentle invitation to come home to yourself. Caroline’s words feel like sitting with a wise mentor — she reminds us that being fully, unapologetically yourself is your superpower.
💭 Ask yourself: Where am I hiding parts of myself in order to fit in?
4. How Childhood Trauma Affects Health – Nadine Burke Harris
This talk brought tears to my eyes. It’s the science behind what so many of us feel — that trauma lives in the body, long after the moment has passed. And yet, with knowledge and compassion, we can begin to heal.
💭 You are not “too much.” You are carrying more than most people can see.
5. Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are – Amy Cuddy
Amy teaches us that even small changes — like how we sit or stand — can change how we feel inside. If you’re rebuilding your confidence, her “power poses” might feel silly at first… but they work.
💭 Try this: stand tall, hands on hips, and say something kind to yourself.
6. How Changing Your Story Can Change Your Life – Lori Gottlieb
The stories we tell ourselves shape our reality. Lori’s talk is a gentle nudge to question the narratives we’ve inherited — and to begin writing a new one, filled with truth and self-compassion.
💭 Whose voice is narrating your life — and is it time to rewrite the script?
7. A Woman’s Fury Holds Lifetimes of Wisdom – Tracee Ellis Ross
Tracee brings fire and softness in the same breath. This talk gave me permission to feel — to honour my emotions instead of stuffing them down. There is so much wisdom in our rage, our tears, our tenderness.
💭 What emotion have you silenced that’s ready to be heard?
These talks aren’t a fix — but they’re a hand to hold, a moment of light, a breath of truth when the world feels heavy.
Let them be your companions. Let them remind you:
✨ You are not broken.
✨ You are worthy of love, rest, and joy.
✨ You are enough — exactly as you are.
If one of these talks speaks to your heart, I’d love to hear about it. Leave a comment or send me a message — we’re walking this healing path together.
