Festive movie nights

As soon as December hits, the Christmas movies get pulled out. Elf is always our first watch right at hte start of the month. There is nothing better than a Christmas themed movie night {or afternoon}, especially when it is cold and wet outside. We put the fairy lights on, dig out the blankets, make hot chocolates with squirty cream, marshmallows and sometimes a splosh of Baileys, and the Christmas chocolates and curl up inside in the warm.

From old favourites to new finds, the kiddos and I love watching movies this time of year more than any. I love the warm, happy feeling most festive movies give you, it makes me even more excited for the big day! For a family like mine, with a wide mix of ages, festive movies more often than not appeal to all of us – meaning we can have a family movie night without the arguing over what we’ll watch {they make up for that by arguing about everything else though ha!}

Here are our favourites, the ones we watch time and time again, year after year;

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
The Muppet Christmas Carol
Miracle On 34th Street
It’s a Wonderful Life
Elf
The Snowman
Fred Claus
Home Alone
Arthur Christmas

A Charlie Brown Christmas
How the Grinch Stole Christmas

    I love all the Christmas films. We have watched a few already and will watch a lot more in the run up to Christmas.
    The Christmas Chronicles from Netflix has been added to our list of favourite films. It’s fab x
