Friday I’m in Love

Happy Friday lovely folk! It’s been our first week ‘not back to school’, and it has actually felt good to get back into our usual rhythms. I love the summer, and the spontaneity we have, weekends away, festivals, play dates, days out and sleeping in. Yet by the time September rolls around, we are all ready for a little more rhythm again, and getting our heads down to learn.

We took a day trip to Liverpool on Tuesday, I’d promised Kiki a shopping trip to spend some of her birthday money, Lola wanted to visit the Beatles shop, and Natty had never been so we needed to show him the sights. It was fun {if tiring} day, we also spent an hour in the Wolrd Museum – Beastie loves seeing the fish and the dinosaurs, though not so much the mummies in the Egyptian section!

I’ve finally managed to get my butt into gear and spend some time on here, it’s been too long since I’ve sat and written, and I’ve been thinking about what I want this space to be and where I want to take it.

This afternoon we’re off to camp at friends for the weekend, they live in a shared farm, and are having a little Autumn festival – they’ll be apple pressing and jam making, a ceremony and fire, and lots of fun with the bestest people I know!

Here’s a little of what I’m loving this week:

* If you didn’t catch it, I wrote a post about gaining strength from difficult situations, and good things growing out of the bad times ♥

* I NEED to make some of these Vegan PUmpkin Pie Cups soon!

* I’m more than a little excited to have a new mattress! Since we began the bedroom swapping, we’ve been sleeping on an airbed – and a month on a blow up bed has made me feel old! Hello new memory foam mattress, I love you

* I’d love this coat and these boots for the winter

* 10 quotes by Radical Women

* Love this post on the difference between setting an intention and magic thinking

* I’m looking for a lampshade like this one, and bedding like this for my new room

* We’ve an abundance of kale and chard – so these leeks and greens are definitely on the menu this week

* I’ve dabbled with oils for years, but after trying a couple of Doterra blends out I am SMITTEN – you can find me here if you want to join in the oily goodness!

Have a great weekend!
