Friday Feels

beastie boy sandpit friday feels

Happy Friday! We’re spending the day with friends – the first in our summer home-ed meet ups {so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for sunshine and not hte thunderstorms we’ve had this week!}, we also have a birthday party tomorrow and then, of course, it’s Fathers Day on Sunday… so a pretty busy weekend! I’m planning on making another weekend vlog, I love making them and having a little snippet of our lives to look back on. I’m sure when I’m an old lady, I’ll spend hours watching them on repeat, remembering these days with love.

It’s been a good week – wet, but it’s meant we’ve been less inclined to go out and about and have gotten more work done instead! I shared my pamper skincare routine, a little mama style wishlist and this great Play The Forest School Way book on the blog this week.

Beastie has generally been sleeping a bit better, back to our two-night wake-ups mostly, my body is well adapted to that so I’m feeling pretty ok… it’s funny how we get used to broken sleep – and how ‘only’ getting up twice means I feel human but if I have to get up three or four times now I feel like z{mom}bie. These night wake ups really don’t bother me so much this time around. I know how fleeting baby/toddler-dom is and I’m in no hurry for him to grow up.

Miss Kiki has been a bit poorly this week, she’s had a water infection, her antibiotics finish today so i’m hoping she’ll feel 100% by Monday. Nothing worse than seeing poorly kiddos is there?

The lovely folk at the Harley Street Hair Clinic sent me a hamper full of luscious hair treats last week, I’m a little {ok a lot} in love with the Korres shampoo already – I think it’s time to switch from my cheap and cheerful shampoos to something a little bit more luxurious all the time.

If you love artisan foods then Capera is a site for you. They have a curated collection of products from independent artisan producers, all on one site. You can order items from different producers and they well all be sent out in oen package to you. They have a huge range of products, and kindly sent me a few to test out.  Plum and Ginger Garden Cider by The Garden Cider Company {totes saving this for Saturday night!!}, Sweet Chilli Crackers by CNWC CrackersHemp Chocolate Cranberry by Themptation and a Peruvian Chilli and Lemon Cook Sauce by Capsicana. The food itself is delicious {just didn’t last very long!!} and it arrived packaged really well – no broken bottles of cider, or even broken crackers here! I’m really impressed – and it’s a fantastic way of suporting indepentant artisan producers.

We’ve been munching on the delicious Strawberries & Cream Poshcorn and Coronation Chicken Tyrell’s crisps this week – given the rainy weather, we’ve had a couple of movie afternoons so snacks are an essential!

A little shopping wishlist – this dress, these PJ’s and these wellies [great for festival season!]

Love this post from Dana on how to define your priorities – I’m sometimes terrible at saying no, at overcommiting myself and then ending up stressed out because I dont’ ahave the time to get everything done.

I might have to make this grape and herb chicken salad this week – how delicious does it sounds?!

I’ve been reading Misfit to Maven this week, and it’s an amzing book. I’ve barely been able to put it down. It’s unlike any other business book I’ve read but it is just what i need right now.
