OXFAM’s Dressed by the kids Day

If you haven’t already heard about Dressed by the kids day, it is OXFAM’s first ever national awareness day. Its aim is to raise money and spread awareness for those living in poverty by uniting the nation for a day of fun and silliness by letting the kids take control for a day.

On 29th April, OXFAM are encouraging people to let their kids dress them for the day, and I’m super excited to be supporting them as an Ambassador for this fun day. I’m being brave and letting my kids dress me for the day {oh how I may live to regret this!!!}. You can make it a little easier on me and sponsor me for looking like a wally for the day!!

Personally, this is a cause that I really feel strongly about and am happy to be able to support. The reality behind this event are very serious indeed – supporting Oxfam’s work by raising money and awareness for those living in poverty. Extreme poverty across the world has been already been halved in just 15 years. Oxfam believes that it could be totally eradicated in another 15 years time.

There are a lot of celebrities getting behind this campaign too – Sara Cox, Amanda Holden as well as BBC Radio 6 Music’s Shaun Keaveny. they, alongside a handful of other celebs, posed with their children for photographer Rankin.

Rankin, who has supported Oxfam for several years, also commented “I’m more than happy to give my time for important causes and Oxfam is one close to my heart. Shooting today’s celebrities in such a fun and natural environment has been great. The real stars from the shoot were the kids.”
