It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Christmas!!
One of the things I was most looking forward to was having a real tree. Our last house was teeny tiny, and we had a super slim artificial tree, which was lovely, but not quite the same. We ordered our Christmas tree weeks ago – an 8ft Nordmann Fir from Pines and Needles. The tree arrived on Friday last week, and Mr G put it up in the stand and we left it to settle for a few days – we gave it a slight hair cut as I hadn’t factored in the width of the tree and it was gloriously huge! It looks and smells amazing though! Vega is highly amused that we have a tree in the house….!
We spent Tuesday {the first} decorating the tree, I’d bought some new decorations as the tree was so much bigger than ones we’ve had previously. We have a few that come out every year, and I try and buy one special ornament each year to add to our collection. This year I picked up these personalised baubles from Cheryl Rawlings
The girls activity advent calendar is hung, and we’ve started decorating the rest of the house too. I love how cosy the house feels when it’s decorated for Christmas – it seems to make everyone a hundred times more excited for the big day too!
Have you begun Christmas decorating yet?? Here’s a little video of us decorating our tree the other day!

December 2, 2015 at 20:54Such lovely photos, especially the top one! There is a distinct 0% of festive spirit in our house at the moment, we need to get on it. Although lots of people in our area have put lights and trees up so it’s lots of fun on the walk home from nursery x

December 3, 2015 at 10:16Your tree looks amazing!! I’m dead jealous. I don’t think I have enough decorations. I may have to go back to Wilko to buy the red velvet stag I resisted yesterday…
