Spring Wardrobe Makeover
I have way too many clothes. Less than I used to but, still, my wardrobe is crammed so full I can’t see what is hanging in there, and my drawers are overflowing. I kinda love clothes shopping, nothing beats a few new threads for making me feel good {god, that sounds so materialistic}. Really, though, I don’t often treat myself to new clothes.. the odd item here and there but that’s about it. My style has been pretty consistent for the past ten years or so… so I have a wardrobe full of varients on the same few pieces!
I came across this
Since Vega was born, I’ve added a few new items, mainly because the dresses and long tunics I usually wear aren’t so practical when you’re breastfeeding. Jeans, midi-skirts, vest tops and boyfriend cardigans are my current go-to’s. I’ve packed away some of the things that don’t work for me right now, to make a little space. By buying just a couple of key pieces, it’s easy to update your whole wardrobe without spending fortune. I did a little online shopping at Fat Face – they have some gorgeous women’s fashion {I had to stop myself buying one of everything!}. I picked up this denim jacket and this gorgeous skirt. I haven’t had a denim jacket for years, but am really loving this one – it’s perfect for spring days, that in between not needing a winter coat but not being warm enough for bare arms. It’s casual enough for day wear, but can be jazzed up for a night out {though not sure I know what one of those is!}
I’m usually more of a dress girl than a skirt girl, but as I said, I need easy access for feeding Beastie, so skirts it is – this one is a lovely print, looks just as good teemed with flats and a t-shirt as it does dressed up for date night. It’s nice to have a few new pieces each season – I’m really keen to work on building a capsule wardrobe – anything to simplify my life right now is a good thing!

Save Money Shopping for Your Winter Wardrobe! - Enchanted Pixie
September 11, 2015 at 08:50[…] Shopping out of season is a very smart move. Buy your summer clothes in winter, and your winter clothes in summer. If I were you, I’d make sure you only buy kind of neutral basics. Something that you think is in fashion now, might not be when the appropriate season rolls around. […]
