Sunday
We set up camp for the afternoon in front of the stage and the kiddos were excited to see there was a circus skills area set up. They had a great time spinning plates, walking on stilts and across the slack wire {so did Papa ;)} An afternoon with friends, in the sunshine, listening to more friends bands playing was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We made a quick dash out to the nearest newsagent to grab ice-lollies and extra drinks {no ice cream van on site?!!!} and ate lots of warm cakes! The kiddos spent a small fortune on the tombola and only managed to win a pack of soap roses.
After a minor panic that we’d missed the last bus, we finally made it back to Wrexham at 8pm, grabbed a takeaway pizza before crashing in bed after a fantastic day. I could quite happily spend every single day like this – it’s made us even more excited to go to Camp Bestival in a few weeks time!

It sounds like a really lovely chilled out day. I love little festivals like that.

Wow sounds like a lovely day out (minus the travel sickness), circus skills are always fun with little ones :)

Sounds really fun. I’m all for festivals where you get to sleep in your own bed at the end of the day (after two traumatic Glastonbury experiences!) x
Looks like a fab day out! I used to get travel sick so I know how awful that can be, poor baya I hope it didn’t spoil the rest of her day. x p.s So jealous about Camp Bestival
