Camp Bestival – part two

So many photos! {see the first set here} Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Camp Bestival. We had an AMAZING time… even papa ;) there was way more stuff on than we could see/do, something for every age.The kiddos loved having so many other kids around to play with, they all made lots of friends. We stayed in the camping plus field, and our tent was a minute’s walk from the festival entrance – perfect when you’ve got kiddos as it meant we could pop back to the tent easily if we needed to. I was a little concerned about the girls sleeping with festival noise, but after 13/14 hours running around a festival, they were that exhausted they’d have slept through anything {and so would Mama}.

Festivals can get pretty expensive when you have lots of mouths to feed, we combated that by taking breakfast {cereals, and veggie sausages to BBQ}, as well as lots of picnic foods {cheese, wraps, crisps, biscuits, fruit etc} meaning that we only had to buy dinner every evening. To be fair, the food was very reasonably priced, especially considering the quality. And the choice! My favourite was the Mexican Feast from the Coyote Mooncafe in the Soul Park – burrito filling, a wrap, rice, salsa, sour cream and tortillas for £7.50. Kiki’s favourite was the roast ear of corn!! With a couple of good pizza stalls and some chips, even my fussy pants Baya was a happy camper!

The girls loved the Insect Circus – I think Kiki is harbouring a secret desire to run away and join the circus!!

Miss Baya was so tired by the end of Saturday night, she slept on the floor through the entire Levellers gig!

We watched the Jousting show on Saturday which totally blew us away, it was such fun and some of the tricks the riders did were fantastic! Makes me miss horse-riding so badly!

The girls were very excited to get their photo taken with the actress from the Horrible Histories show.
