Saturday Link ♥ Love

Gifted handmade ornament

Saturday again! We were supposed to be having family come visit for the weekend, but because of all the snow they can’t make it :( We’re off to a Christmas market today, girls are going to pay Santa a visit in his Grotto and I’m sure they’ll be mulled wine and roast chestnuts consumed!

We put our decorations up on Thursday and have been busy making paper chains to put up as well. I’d love to see pictures of your decorations too.

I’ve been filling in the ‘100 things to do in 2011’ in my Goddess Workbook – but so far I’ve only got about 25!!! Am in need of some ideas? HELP!

Here’s some of what I’ve been loving this week:

  • The beautiful Elsiecake has written new e-course – ‘Blog Love‘ It looks fantastic for new bloggers (and already established ones!) in need of some pointers.

Bloglove

  • I discovered a new blog this week –  Milk No Sugar – I’m loving this blog (plus the fact that she lives in the UK!)

I’m re-discovering my love for dressing up and vintage clothes, something I’ve kinda lost somewhere in the last year or two. I got it into my head that getting dressed up, faffing with my hair and make up, wasn’t what I should be doing?! But it makes my heart happy and that’s reason enough for me! Two sites that are inspiring me to dress up are:

  • I’m sponsering Pamplemousse this month – watch out for a guest post soon!

  • I came across a recipe for Oh Baby Bars – a kinda homemade peanut butter cup! yum yum – I can’t wait to make these!

What’s been inspiring you this week?

I feel you on the vanity thing. I have always loved dressing up and wearing makeup in a quirky way (much like your own style). However, now that I’m a SAHM for like nine years it seems silly to get all dolled up when I’m going to be sitting around the house doing laundry. Life just isn’t as glamorous or romantic as it was before kids.

I’ve decided to treat each day as if I were going to a party…. WHO says I can’t dress up to stay home? So I am gonna do it!!!
