List 20: Things to do when you’re sad

When I’m in a melancholy mood, rather than feel bad for feeling bad (!!) I try and do something to distract myself from my mood. Here’s a few of the things I do:

 

  • Put some happy music on LOUD and dance dance dance
  • Eat chocolate!
  • Write a list of things to be grateful for
  • Do something creative. Paint, write, knit… whatever takes you’re fancy
  • Go for a walk
  • Do something nice for someone else
  • Call someone
  • Watch a cheesy movie
  • Write it all out
  • Run a bubble bath and put on a face mask
  • Meditate for 5 minutes

    my list looks alot like yours!!! wish we could do some of those things together :)
