Let’s dine out….

It isn’t very often that I eat out, and when I do, I usually end up sticking to the same few places. You know how it goes – you find a place you like, food that you know is you enjoy, and you stick with what you know. But…. it’s all a little…. boring.

So I have promised myself that this year I would try out some new places – little hidden gems that I’ve probably walked past a million times and never gone in. The other week, Baya and I went to Chester for the day and stumbled upon this little family run Italian restaurant tucked away down a sidestreet We decided to treat ourselves to lunch, and it was delicious! We shared a pizza and some bruschetta, and it was so much better that grabbing a sandwich from a takeaway place like we’d normally have done.

It made me more determined to try out some other new places, so I thought I should put together a little bucket list of restaurants that I’d like to visit, so I can tick them off as I go.

I chose places that are close{ish} to where we live, so they’re easy to go for a lunch out when I’m child free and with friend – not that it happens that often, but I can always hope! We also often visit Liverpool, and in a city full of restaurants I really should try at least a few of them out instead of letting the kids drag me to Nandos again! I’m thinking of asking for some restaurant gift vouchers for my next birthday or Christmas so I can tick a couple off my list.

The Art School Restaurant in Liverpool – a much recommended spot for Afternoon Tea {which I have always wanted to go for}, the menu sounds amazing – and it’s in one of my favourite cities.

Artichoke Cafe Bar Bistro in Chester – A modern bistro restaurants with a tapas and meze inspired menu, I’ve heard lots of good things about this one!

Zorbas in Liverpool – a Liverpool restaurant offering a taste of Cyrpus. I haven’t been to a Greek restaurant in a very long time!

9 Elephants Thai Drink & Dine in Chester – I LOVE Thai food, I’ve never eaten in a Thai restaurant and I think that it is time to change that!

Covino in Chester – a quirky little wine bar with a lunch time set menu which includes two plates and a glass of wine for £15 per person, it sounds like the perfect place for a girly lunch!

El Bandito in Liverpool – A basement tequileria straight from the heart of Mexico, perfect for our upcoming trip to Liverpool

I’m excited to try out some different places to eat {and some different foods too}! Do you always go to the same restaurants? Or do you like to try out new places when you go out? If you have any recommendations of restaurants that you think I should try out, I would love to hear them!
