Weekend Reflections

The sun is shining, and I’ve been out in my garden all morning. The lilac is almost coming into flower, my garden is looking so green, there are bluebells and celandine under the trees, and everything is looking so beautiful. I think Spring is my favourite time of year, when everything comes back to life again after the winter, the sun starts to shine more and it warms up… suddenly we are reminded that life will return.

It’s been a busy week, I’ve had a lot of work to do and I’m trying to figure out a better work/life balance now I’ve taken on some more clients. I’m incredibly lucky to do what I do for a living, to work from home and enjoy what I do. At the same time, working and having the kids around 90% of the time is tricky.

Still, on days like today I’m reminded just how lucky I am.

The kiddos stayed with their Dad last night, so now the weekend is ours. I love it when they’re home on a Sunday. We’re planning a fire and BBQ tonight, maybe a movie night…. then thinking a bike ride out to the river tomorrow, with a picnic. Sounds like a good weekend to me.
