Friday I’m in Love

It’s Friday, guys! I’m so happy the weekend is about to arrive. In fairness, the week picked up, the first half I was super tired and super stressed, but it improved midweek. We’ve been darting back and forth to Chester all week, catching a few films as part of the IntoFilm Festival at the gorgeous Storyhouse – such a perfect place to watch a movie. We finally got to see Mary and the Witch’s Flower on Monday and it was SO good – even better than I was hoping. We’re back for one last film today, then this evening we’re darting across country to briefly visit family, squeezing in a quick trip before we hit the madness of December, and the millions of commitments the kiddos have!

I’m slowly beginning to feel like I might be organised for Christmas just in time, every year I declare next year will be more organised, but it never is. Still, gift shopping has begun, I’ve only a couple of ‘big’ items and some stocking fillers to get for the kiddos, I’ve been planning to bake the Christmas Cake for the past three weeks and just haven’t fitted it in yet! I’m sure it will all get done in time, I don’t stress too much about Christmas these days – at least not about material things, I focus more on making memories and spreading the fun all the way through December. Advent calendars have been purchased, and our tree is arriving in 12 days time!
