Three Good Things

Hey everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend? Ours was pretty chilled – but made all the better for yesterday’s spring weather! Honestly – what a difference sunshine makes, huh?!

We have a pretty busy week ahead, including my birthday on Thursday, so I’m really hoping Sunday’s glorious weather continues all week long…..

Here are my three good things from last week

* Birthday fun – on Friday Baya turned nine {!!}, she was so excited – as was Beastie! Her main gift from me was an Instax camera, she lucked out and got a whole heap of other gifts too. We took her out to the Blue Planet for the day, followed by a birthday meal at Chiquitos then cake and a movie at home. I love treating my kids on their birthdays and making the day extra special for them

* Weekending – honestly, this weekend was pretty close to perfect. Saturday Kiki and Baya both had groups in the morning, I finished off my Easter shipping and then pottered around at home, in the afternoon we went to watch ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ at the cinema {a little bit of a disappointment as we LOVED the book so much}, then had fun joining in with Earth Hour in the evening. Sunday, the little three went out with their dad for a few hours, and Lola had drama rehearsal, so I had a few very rare hours home alone. I’d planned to spend the time writing/working, but it was such lovely weather I spent it sorting out my garden instead – it felt so good to be outside getting my hands covered in earth. When they came home, we had a fire and then ate pizza in front of the TV. Weekends like that are just what we need after our busy weeks.

* Catch up’s with friends ~  I managed to catch up with a few friends this past week, nothing beats a cuppa and a good natter does it?! I’m so lucky to have some wonderful friends ?

What were your three good things from last week?

Happy birthday Baya! Such a shame about A Wrinkle in Time, we want to see this over the Easter holidays.

Happy bday Baya! Hope she had a lovely day! I’ve had a few great things happen this week, a trip to the beach being one of them! As soon as the snow melted we didn’t hang around!
