Friday Finds

Hey friends! Friday again…. hurrah! We have our home education group today – one of our favourite days each fortnight. The kids get to play with friends all day and I get to catch up with mine {and drink tea!}. We’ve had a good week, our caterpillars arrived – though Beastie insists on calling them worms haha! We haven’t had any for a few years, so we’re all looking forward to watching them grow, and change into butterflies. It’s the basis for our unit study on life cycle’s this month too.

We’ve had a few ‘at home’ work days, a play date with friends, the kids were out with their dad one day, giving me a much-needed work day just for me. I snuck in a couple of little tattoos this week as well {I swear, it’s my weekly therapy session!} and I’ve been doing a few odd jobs around the house and garden. We’ve planted out the first batch of seedlings, and Beasties favourite job is helping me water the garden after dinner each evening now.

Life seems to be flowing really well lately, we’ve all gotten into our new grooves – the kiddos have a whole new pocket money/chore system {which I totally need to blog about}, the extra responsibility is amazing for them – and frees me up a little. I’ve been working out like a demon lately – loving how strong and healthy it is making me feel, and a month in I can see my body changing… muscles coming and strength building. I’ve had lots of questions over on my Insta about what I do – so will try and post my routine soon!

We’ve a busy weekend ahead, sleepovers, BBQ’s, friends… and Miss Lola turns 14 on Monday – holy cow! Hope you all have a good one… here are some recent internet finds I wanted to share…

* If you’re considering going vegan {or already are and need some inspo} these one-pot meals are a great place to start

* I love these mini fairy cards – little doses of positivity!

* I’ve been reading ‘At Home in the World‘ and love Tsh’s playlist to go alongside it! Now I’m yearning to pack it all up, and go travel the world!

* This post on minimalism/simple living is a great read

* How to raise a warrior girl  – essential reading for all you girl Mama’s

* My kids want to make these for lunch this weekend {i’m thinking of making a vegan/non-potato version for me}

* We love these printable art prompts – great for rainy afternoons

* I need to make these gingerbread raw bars again too!

* Roasted chickpeas are my current obsession – here are five ways to do them!

* On my wishlist – this dress, this kantha blanket, this tee, these jeans, this top and these sandals.

Happy weekending!

    You’ve painted such a calm picture of family life. I love the idea of you and Beastie watering the garden after dinner x
