How do we say “I Love You”

Next Sunday will be Mothers Day, and the shops are full of gifts and cards. Mothers Day isn’t a huge event in my house… we don’t go in for expensive gifts, or meals out. I’d much rather receive a bunch of beautiful Mothers Day flowers and a handmade card. Flowers are probably the go-to Mother’s Day gift – because, who doesn’t love fresh flowers? They brighten up the room and bring a smile to your face.

Mothers Day to me is a great chance to say “I love you” and “thank you” to our Mums… to celebrate all the hard work they do and show them som appreciation. Mama’s are the glue that holds families together, working non-stop and often putting themselves last, so I think we deserve one day of the year {at least} when the focus is on us and we get to put our feet up and relax.

My ideal Mothers Day would be a lie in {v. unlikely}, followed by breakfast in bed with my four all piled on the end of the bed, tunes playing and chatting about life. Then a luxurious morning bath, a nice long walk, then home for a movie and picnic dinner. What would your perfect Mothers Day look like?

FlyingFlowers have put together an interesting infographic with a lot of surprising information about our gift giving habits when it comes to flowers.
