Friday Feels

friday-feels

I’ve been meaning/hoping to bring back some kind of Friday favourites post for a while… not least because it’ll save all those things I love for myself, so I don’t have to spend hours trying to find links again! I’m always stumbling across things I want to share, and then never do, so I thought I’d put them all together in one place for your {and my} convenience!

It’s been another busy week, but one that’s felt less stressful and more ‘normal’ than we’ve had in a long time. Life has settled back down, the kids and I have found our groove again and we’re busy making plans to make this an awesome year. I’m ready for the weekend now, though – some quiet time and hopefully a little relaxation. the little three kids are out with their Dad tomorrow, so I have a tattoo appointment in the morning, and then hopefully a couple of hours at home to myself after while Lola’s out with her friend. I’ve been making the most of the few hours once a week to myself, usually filling it with work as it means I can be more present with the kids through the week – and it’s amazing how much faster I can work when I’m not interrupted by someone shouting ‘MUUUUUUM’ every five minutes ha!

Talking of family time – did you see we teamed up and created a set of family rules for the five of us this week?

Since Lola and I decided to go veggie again just after Christmas, I’ve been toying with the idea of going vegan. We all gave up dairy for a while when Lola was little, to see if it eased her eczema, and it’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while. After watching Vegucated again last week, I’ve decided to ditch the dairy. To be fair, asides from a little cheese and milk in my coffee, I don’t eat much anyway. I’ll try and share a post on this soon, with more thoughts/reasons behind my decision.

The girls and I are joining in with NurtureStore’s online Family ArtClub, one of our homeschool plans this year was to add more art in, so this is perfect.

I’ve been reading fairy tales to Kiki and Baya every night lately – we’ve been reading original Grimms Folk Tales {we have this edition} – really love reading aloud after not really having done much for the last couple of years!

I’ve been doing some serious decluttering/reorganising of my home lately – love this post on what the author learned whilst decluttering!

This book is on my wishlist, as is this cookbook and I’m thinking about getting this pour over coffee maker too.

I want to make this vegan lemon cake, this plant based nacho cheese sauce and  these Kale and Sweet Potato Brown Rice Bowls

This post on reading to your kids is fantastic [as are the book recommendations]

Love these tips for teaching your kids mindfulness

The gorgeous necklace in the picture is from Blue Moon Holistics – isn’t it beautiful?!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
