Friday Feels

Hello!! Hope you’ve all had a good first week of August?! I can’t believe it’s a whole week already since Camp Bestival! We had an amazing time, but I came home feeling rotten -full of cold, super tired and lacking in energy. So I’ve gotten very little done this week {other than 10 extra loads of laundry}. I’m trying to make myself have a few early nights and hope that I feel better soon, I’ve a mountain of work waiting for me to catch up on, and 700 photos/videos from last weekend to edit so I can share them with you! Eeeep!!

I was really annoyed with myself that I couldn’t just crack on this week, but then figured I deserved a break – I’m sick, haven’t had a full nights sleep in years and actually just need to rest a little this week and let myself get better. So for now, here are a few photos I shared on my IG over the weekend – we spent a night in Bournemouth prior to the festival, and are all now desperate to move there! Such a gorgeous place and we all loved the beach so much.

The kids have been busy baking up a storm since we got home, cupcakes and smores cookies… yummy but I think the post-holiday diet needs to start asap. We’ve a busy few weeks coming up – checked this months calendar when I got home and realised we’ve something planned pretty much every day of the summer already! So much for a lazy few weeks. We’re ready for two more festivals before the summer is out too – Just So in a couple of weeks time, and then The Good Life Experience in September. Beastie will be a festival pro by the end of it!

We took some of the new PiCK UP! Minis with us to Camp Bestival, they were great for a festival as they’re individually wrapped, so were great to through in my bag for snacks through the day {and tasted SO good!}

If you’re looking for something to keep your kids occupied this summer, Joules have a fab storybook competition running this summer – you could win £1000 of Joules vouchers! My girls are planning their entries already – find out how here.

Beastie had some new wheels arrive this week – a fab Supa Go pushchair from Cosatto. We choose the Hoppit design and it’s amazing! We’ll be testing it out over the summer and sharing a review with you soon.

The weather has been pretty crappy since we got back {though just OK enough to dry my laundry}, I’m hoping it picks up a bit soon. G is working every day for the next couple fo weeks, before he goes to Boomtown, the girls have loads of gymnastic days, Lola has guide camp coming up, festivals, meets with friends and days out planned make for a busy month – and it’ll be more fun if it’s sunny not rainy!

And are most exciting news – we got two kittens!! A friends’ cat had babies a few weeks ago, and we knew we were going to have the two girl kittens – but kept it a secret from the kiddos! G snuck out and picked them up on Tuesday. Perfect way to beat the post-holiday blues!! I’d forgotten how tiny and cute kittens are! Mama got naming rights – so these two are Patsy and Eddie!

    Aw, enjoy the weekend with your kitties! I actually hate cats but I wonder if I had them from I was small if I wouldn’t be so afraid now! x

    Best kitten names ever! Bestival sounds amazing – can’t wait to have a look at all the photos. My sister used to live in Bournemouth and it was the first beach F ever went to, a really gorgeous place. x
