Bedtime Stories

bedtime stories

I grew up with a huge love for books, I was always reading as a child and teenager, I remember my Mum reading me stories too before I was old enough to read to myself. My husband is very much the same, so it was only natural that we’d bring our children up with the same love of books. We’ve read to our children since they were tiny babies, Vega currently loves books that have animals in them! He’ll often bring me a book over to read to him.

A bedtime story has always been a part of the kiddos bedtime routine. It’s a perfect way to unwind at the end of the day and also to get some one-on-one time with each of them. So when Adjustable Beds asked if I wanted to be involved in a Bedtime Stories project they were putting together, of course I said yes!

I think it’s incredibly important to read to your children, there is nothing quite like getting lost in a good story and encouraging your children to read and love stories from them being tiny is such a great gift to give them. I can’t imagine a house with no books!

They have put together a fantastic eBook with several Welsh Bloggers sharing their favourite bedtime stories, including the one me and my kids love more than any other. You can download a copy of the ebook here.

What is your favourite bedtime story? You can share yours on social media with the #bedtimestories!

I cant recall being read to as a child which is alittle sad. I do vaguely remember books in the house, Fairy tale ones given at christmas etc but no bed time stories.
I enjoy books and have read to my little boy i wouldnt say every night but most night since he was a few months old. Hes 1 now and doesnt seem to take much notice of me when im reading he tends to play in his cot but it seems to settle him.

I hope to continue this and to read to him for aslong as he will allow me to.

I don’t have a favourite from when i was young. From the books i have for my son i like the elmer collection he has there very colorful.

Some of my favourite childhood memories are having bedtime stories read to me – and then reading them myself! The ebook is lovely, and the illustrations are so cute! x
