TRASH! Apparently all I have a *thing* for trashy romance novels right now… NOT my usual reading I might add, but about all I have the brain power for by the time I fall into bed at night! At good bit of escapism never hurt, huh??!

About next year. Crazy it’s almost 2016 isn’t it?? This year has flown in a millisecond, and I’m both really looking forward to a new year and a little sad that this one is almost overt already. I’ve been making some mental plans of things I want to do, places I’d like to go, things I’d like to accomplish both personally and professionally. I love goal setting for a new year – this year I didn’t really, as I wanted to focus on the baby. SO I’m looking forward to setting {and acheiving} some goals in 2016.

Christmas organising… I am pretty much done on Christmas shopping, I just need to find some gift wrapping time. I’m also elbow deep in planning a first birthday party for a certain little boy… guess this time of the year is always going to be extra crazy from now on!!

Porridge… one thing I do love about this cooler weather, is porridge for breakfast. Vega loves a bowl of porridge too, it’s a great way to fill our tummies and warm up on these chilly mornings. I’ve gotten in the habit of soaking my oats overnight – I put a cupful in a pan with a cup of water, cover and leave. In the morning, I add a little milk, currently I’ve been trying out this Alpro Oat Milk for a change from my usual soya and cook the porridge. My favourite topping right now is peanut butter and a little dollop of homemade cherry jam. Yum!

I lived somewhere a little less rainy… it’s been pretty much non-stop here, and to be honest, it’s miserable. I don’t mind the cold really, I can wrap up warm and keep toasty. It’s when it’s pouring with rain adn we have to wak somewhere – nothing worse than getting soaking wet as soon as you leave the house! It’s been making me wish I could hibernate until spring! Now wouldn’t that be lovely?

What has your week looked like?

This is such a lovely post. I’ve spent most of my week decorating, but I’m looking forward to getting it all done before Christmas. Have a great weekend!

Totally going to try peanut butter with my porridge tomorrow morning now! I know what you mean about a good trashy novel. I’m the same with NetFlix at the moment. Been immersed in Reign which is total trash but strangely addictive!

I’d never thought of peanut butter on porridge before. I’ll have to give it a go!

I really wish I lived somewhere less rainy, this has to be the wettest winter I can remember. And the windiest. We love porridge too, it’s Tiger’s fave and he eats a massive bowl of it every morning :) x
