A trip to the Pumpkin Patch

maize maze

We took a trip out to a local pumpkin patch on Tuesday – far more fun choosing our pumpkins from the field than the supermarket! The kiddos were really excited {and so was I!}. There was a Maize Maze for them to find their way around, with a letter hunt on the way around. Baya was a little worried on the way there that there would be real witches and ghosts – thankfully there were only pretend ones hanging around so it wasn’t too scary!

We found our way around the maze without getting too lost, getting out took almost as long – for a while we thought we might have to stay in there for good.

The girls were excited to head to the pumpkin patch after, and spent ages picking *just* the right pumpkin to bring home. We’ll carve them on Saturday morning, it’s become our tradition to carve them on Halloween morning, then light them just before we go out trick or treating.

It was fun at the pumpkin patch, I’m thinking it’ll be our new annual Halloween tradition! Here are way too many photos of my four pumpkins at the pumpkin patch….

Awww, lovely little family. I must make a point to take my three to a pumpkin patch next year. We spent one Halloween in LA when Dex was a baby & he loved the pumpkin patch, it was the best day out!
