Vega – 8 month update

Hello 8 months! This boy is growing far too fast.. and he’s so desperate to be up and chasing after his big sisters! He’s so close to crawling {we’ve never had a crawler yet!} but he’d much rather stand on his feet. He pulls himself up on anything he can get to now, and can bum shuffle around very well. I’m realising that it might be time to think about stair gates {and moving things out of his way}.

He’s 4 teeth through now, and by the looks of it, several more on the way. We’ve had a few sleepless nights due to them. generally though, he’s sleeping through for about 10 hours most nights. He still has three naps in the day of usually around 30 minutes. I think he doesn’t like sleeping for too long during the day in case he misses out on the fun stuff! ha!

He’s still eating really well. He pretty much eats what we do, though I still have some baby-friendly meals in the freezer – fish & potato, veg risotto, Mediterranean pasta, chicken dinner, cheesy lentil bake are a few – I’ve yet to find something that he won’t eat. He’ll try anything and eats it all too!

He babbles lots – mama, dada, baba and ‘guh’ which seems to be his most said word! He loves watching our cats {and trying to get them} and he really enjoys being outdoors. He’s happiest sat in the garden playing with his toys. He’s also discovered the joys of bouncing on the trampoline!

Baya is the one who makes him giggle the most out of all of us. He has such a cheeky smile now – I’m fully expecting him to cause all sorts of mischief as soon as he’s a little more mobile.
