Interiors – A nursery for a Beastie boy

beasties nursery

You might remember the nursery reveal I did back last year before Beastie was born. I was so excited to create him a little space in our house, so the fact when we moved that I had a whole room to do for him was really exciting! Our move coincided with him needing to move out of the crib and into a cot, though he ended up sleeping in the travel cot for a couple of weeks while his ‘real’ cot came and we got it put together.

With white walls giving us a canvas, I opted for this amazingly gorgeous {and bright} Cosatto Story Cotbed. I love that it is such a bright colour, and G loved the robot design! It really brightens up the room, and as it changes into a junior bed and then a cot, will last Vega a long time. With a storage drawer underneather, it’s definitely the best cot we’ve had.

I brought a few of the pieces from his old nursery – the Fur Neil print, the ‘Nos Da Cariad’ banner and the canvas from Witty Doodle. I also picked up this ‘Dream Big, Little One print.

I’ve been using his personalised quilt as a little playmat for him. I bought a chair to go in his room, as I realised I would need somewhere to fit and feed him at night time now he’s not in my bedroom. With a few books on the windowsill ready for a bedtime story, and a basket of toys there is everything in it that he needs right now.

I love that the room has a built in cupboard – perfect for hiding all the ‘stuff’! I’m really pleased that we opted for a blind rather than curtains – this black-out blind keeps it nice and dark come bedtime.

It’s a great space, and will be fun to add to and to change as he grows up.
