Family Garden Moments

2014

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved being in the garden. Some of my happiest memories are of playing outside in the summer. Playing in the treehouse, or splashing in the paddling pool. Since having a family of my own, it’s always been important to me that they had a garden to play in too. A couple of days away from moving to a new house, it’s our current garden we are going to miss the most. It’s the garden my three girls have grown up in. Played in the sandpit, spent countless hours on the swing set and climbing frame, chased chickens, had picnics, BBQ’s, bounced for hours on the trampoline and enjoyed many a summers day.

I love the photo at the top of the post – taken last summer, Kiki and Baya are both outdoor girls… as soon as the weather is nice enough they are outside playing.

This picture of me and my Papa always makes me smile. Taken in his garden, in the house I spent the first 12 years of my life, it was a windy day and I love the movement in the photo!

This was taken in our first home as a family, on Lola’s first birthday – one week before we moved across country to where we live now.

I remember this winter well… it was freezing cold and Lola was so excited to have snow! Her and her daddy spent hours building a snow fort in our garden.

My four kiddos and one final photo in our current garden. While we may be sad to leave, we really have made some fantastic memories here.
