Holy 24 weeks?! Time is flying way too quickly for my liking. I was going to wait and start posting monthly, but he’ll turn 6 months just after we move so figured I’d post one more update now and then wait until 7 months…

Vega is doing great. He really really loves his big sisters – he gives them the biggest smiles if he hasn’t seen them for a while, and they never fail to make him giggle. He loves to give big hugs {though he’s a little over-enthusiastic and likes to pull hair at the same time!}. He’s such a happy little boy, loves sitting up and playing with his toys, loves playing with my keys – I have to sneak them without him seeing so I can open the door before he wants them!

I love getting him up first thing in the morning or after a nap, as he’s so pleased to see me and he puts his arms up to be picked up. He’s getting very mobile – wriggling and rolling all over the place, if I leave him under his play gym, he will have turned around and wriggled away by the time I go back to him. Uh-oh – I have a feeling he’s going to be on the move all too soon and causing havoc!

We seem to have gone back to night feeds these past few weeks. We moved him out of his crib and into the travel cot {waiting to move to get an actual cot} as he was waking up and I wondered if it was the lack of space. We had a few awful nights where I saw almost every hour arrive. The past few nights he’s gone back to one or two feeds… which I can just about cope with though I won’t lie and I can’t wait to sleep for more than 4 or 5 hours in a go!

He’s still eating really well – he’ll eat anything and everything I give him. We’re still doing a mix of purees and BLW which suits him perfectly. He loves the purees I make and also loves having something he can hold and chomp on. I haven’t found anything he doesn’t really like yet.

He chatters and babbles away lots now – most mornings hear him talking to himself in his bed when he first wakes up. He also has learnt to throw his toys on the floor at meal times and his sisters will pick them up… he thinks that is very funny! He really loves anything that makes a noise… he’ll shake his toys around to make a noise and loves crinkly bags.

Ultimately, I continue to use it as a scale that I usually use myself (I’ve one Fitbit and one Withings, in several locations).
