Vega – 20 week update
Vega
He’s still sleeping great, usually asleep by 10pm, and has a night feed then sleeps till 10am ish.. his night feed varies.. sometimes 2am sometimes 6/7am. Occasionally he’ll have two feeds. He has three naps through the day, around 1pm, 4pm and 7pm, though he only sleeps for around half an hour at each nap.
He’s growing fast – at 4 1/2 months I’ve just put him into 9-12 month clothing {there goes my plans of buying ahead – all the stuff I bought for next winter is going to fit him in the middle of summer ha!}
We’ve started weaning, mainly as he’d grab whatever food he could. If he sits on my knee while I eat he has his fingers right in there seeing what he can get! I have a seperate post on weaning coming up soon.
While there are no signs of teeth poppingthrough yet, he’s dribbling like crazy. We’ve been using the Funky Giraffe bibs, but getting through one every hour some days! He’s been testing out these new Dribble Stop Vests, they have a section of waterproof fabric hidden inside the top that covers the chest and works as a barrier to keep the dribble away from delicate skin. They certainly seem to do their job, since he’s been wearing them he’s had no sign of dribble rash – and must be much nicer to be dry than constantly having a wet vest on!
This month Vega:
* Found his toes – seems they taste pretty good
* Started eating actual food
* loves stealing food of my plate
* loves playing with his toys – especially if they squeak
* Doesn’t like being left to play under his playgym if we’re not sat with him
* likes nothing better than a handful of hair {ouch}

May 22, 2015 at 19:00I’m in exactly the same boat. My little one is about 2.5 weeks older and moved into 9-12 at same time. Thinking might need braces though as they fit lengthways but not on the tummy! These boys grow fast!
