Life, lately

Hello! Dropping in with a little round up of goings-on around here… these weeks are flying by, no sooner than Mondays arrived and we seem to hit the weekend again. These four kiddos are keeping me super busy!

We had a nice, quiet, family Easter weekend – though we kicked it off by spending Friday with friends doing lots of playing and a little Easter egg decorating. Th sun got his hat on here on Saturday, the kiddos have been out in the garden ever since, so nice after a winter stuck indoors. We’ve managed a little time in the garden to start the spring tidying up, it kinda just got abandoned at the end of last year so was looking a little sorry for itself.

The kiddos and I have taken a walk to the park after dinner the last few evenings. It fits in with Vega having a little nap, so the girls can play and I can sit in the sunshine while he sleeps in his pram. I love being able to go for a walk in the evenings, all this sunshine really does make life feel so much easier.

We’ve had visits from various friends and their toddlers/babies… seeing a 4 week old next to Vega made him seem huge! He’s happiest at the minute sat on my knee all day long. Which is lovely, but means I’m none to productive right now. He’s also started taking a huge interest when he sees anyone with food… really eyeing it up… so looking forward to weaning this boy – I love making baby food!

We’ve *hopefully* found new house… so I’m in the midst of trying to declutter the house before I have to start packing. Almost six years in this house, the longest we’ve lived in one place as a family ever, means that we have amassed a LOT of stuff {read junk!}. As well as decluttering, I’m trying to make a list of the things we’ll need to buy when we move.. new sofas [yay!!], I’m hoping new bed base for us as well as wardrobes and probably some more curtains. It soon gets really expensive, so I’ve been checking on http://www.voucherbin.co.uk/ for any offers that will save us a few pennies along the way! I’m not looking forward to all the stress of packing/moving/unpacking but in the long run it will be worth it. As much as we loved this little house, it’s just too small for all six of us. The time has come to say goodbye and move on to the next chapter.

Anyway, here are a few photos from this past week {please excuse my badly-in-need-of-dying hair!}…

It IS lovely having lighter evenings isn’t it? We actually went to the pub this week at about 7pm and sat outside, it was fab!
