A Sunday in Llangollen

I woke up on Sunday, exhausted and a little overwhelmed. Five weeks of night feeds had caught up with me! It was a beautiuful sunny day [though freezing cold], so we bundled everyone up in our warmest layers and hopped on the bus to Llangollen. It’s one of those beautiful picturesque towns, and has the added bonus of having a fab pub with great food – The Cornmill! By the time we got out the house and actually there it was almost 1pm, so we headed for food first. Filled our tummies with roast dinners and scrummy deserts {I had the tastiest bakewell tart and custard!}. Vega had a feed and slept while I ate – and got cooed over by almost every person who walked past our table!

Once our tummies were full, we wrapped back up and took a walk down along the river. The kiddos had a play in the park while Papa and I stood shivering – it seems the kiddos don’t feel the cold anywhere near as much as we do. There were a lot of people out canoeing on the river – crazy folk! We stopped to sail some paper boats we’d made – though the ducks all came swimming over as they thought [hoped} we were feeding them.

A bus ride home, we lit a fire, ate dippy eggs and watched some TV. In my book a perfect Sunday, food, family and cartoons ;)

Love the fact he’s so perfectly shaped for his carrycot – he’s like a pea in a pod!
