Winter Wonderland
This
We arrived a little after 5pm, just as it was getting dark – it’s so much more atmospheric in the evening. We filled our tummies up at the food court, sampling some of the yummy food on offer – I had a delicious stonebaked pizza!
We’d booked in to visit Santa’s Grotto, so that was our next stop. The little two were very excited to be seeing Santa! The grotto itself was lovely, with lots to see and do while we waited for it to be our turn. The girls were a little shy talking to Santa, but were very excited to get their first Christmas presents {and he was even kind enough to send us away with a book for Beastie!}.
After Santa, we changed some money into tokens and went to explore the fairground rides. Kiki got Papa on some swinging thing, which I don’t think he enjoyed any to much ;) There were lots of different rides to choose from, and something for all ages which is great. We didn’t go ice-skaiting this year {mainly due to my bump!!} but still managed to find lots to do all evening.
We found a couple of Santa’s Reindeer having a little grass-supper too! We had a great night, and even after over three hours there the kiddos didn’t want to come home. We warmed our tummies with hot chocolates {complete with cream and marshmallows} before we went to find a bus. We had a great evening, and it really put us in the festive mood!
We were guests of the Winter Wonderland, but all thoughts are our own
