koko kids review

Ah! Almost teenagers and their bedrooms! This biggest girl of ours apparently very much dislikes putting anything away/tidying up ever. She’s the lucky one as she gets her own bedroom, while her sisters have to share. We don’t make a big deal on her keeping her room perfectly tidy – I remember being her age and needing to have space that was mine, and mine alone, though we do have a few rules – dirty washing in the laundry basket, cups/plates etc in the kitchen, clean clothes away…. Every once in a while, I’ll give in and help her have a good clean and tidy {more for my sake than hers I think!}

Anyway, her room was slowly turning into a hovel when help came from Koko Kids. They are a Brighton based company that make the most gorgeous range of fabric wall stickers for kids {though I’d happily have them all over my house}. After drooling over them all for half an hour or so, I figured that they might just make a good bribe into her having a tidy up session {crafty, eh?!}

We picked out these pretty ‘Birds in Flight Wallstickers‘. They arrived a couple of days later, and I have to be honest – I was a little jealous that they weren’t for me! The fabric prints are really funky – kinda reminded me of Joules prints. The ploy worked and together we blitzed her room, put all the books away, and dirty washing… and clean washing… etc

There were 21 little birdies in total, they were easy to apply and they’re also removeable so she can move them around if she wants to. They look really fab up on her walls and really finish the room off. At £34 for the medium sized set, they are great value and look fantastic – they seem really durable too so I’m sure they will last for years.

I’m very very tempted to order more, though I have a feeling I will run out of places to put them!! I really love this Winter Branch and Stars set, as well as this Polaroid Photo Frame wall sticker – I think I may have to treat myself to one of those for the kitchen.

    I almost went for those birds the other day, actually! They are very Joules indeed. We’ve got some stars instead.

    My eldest Charlie is fast moving towards the same pre-teen attitude towards his room but making it a nice space helps to make them that little bit more house-proud doesn’t it? (in theory). These stickers are lovely and they perfectly complement her room.x

    I’m totally feeling the ‘room slowly turning into a hovel’ thing at the moment. Belle is 12 and her idea of tidying is just pushing things to the side of the room…
