Maternity Series – Week 26

maternity series - week twenty six

Crikey, these updates seem to come around so fast! I can’t believe I’m 26 weeks already, this pregnancy is really flying by! Still feeling great, not too tired, not too achey, full of energy – so all is good!

Little man get a little more wriggly every single day, now I can really see him moving inside my tummy – it’s so funny watching your belly move around isn’t it?! One of my favourite things, and I find myself just sat staring when he’s awake and jiggling around in there.. Still sleeping well, thanks to my Theraline Maternity Pillow… I’ve even managed a few nights of sleeping through without having to get up to go to the loo!! Now that is something to be thankful for!

dear baby.... week twenty six

I still sometimes forget that I have a bump… then I go to bend over or do something and I can’t!! I don’t weigh myself, we don’t even have scales at home, so no idea what I weighed before or now… nor do I care to be honest. I’m still wearing my normal ‘small’ size vests, I’m eating pretty much the same as I did when I wasn’t pregnant and it seems to be mostly ‘bump’. My first and third pregnancies I put on a little weight, maybe a stone or so, but it came off a few weeks after having the baby, second time around, I put on less, literally was all on the bump and I even wore my normal jeans through the whole pregnancy! I think this time takes after the first and third, so fingers crossed the weight comes straight off again ;)

Loving how neat your bump looks – when I had Ozzy I looked like I had a sack of badgers strapped to my front. Mind you that was pregnancy number 8 so maybe it’s to be expected.
Without meaning to sound creepy I am liking your hair up like that, really suits you x

I cannot believe you are 26 weeks already, it’s quite funny when you think you can fit through a gap or bend down to get something and realise that your bump isn’t going to let you.

Ha ha I have that hair bunged on top of my head look every morning at the school gate. I often wonder if the other Mums know I have focused on Aaron so much I haven’t even combed it (had a shower though). You look radiant.
I know what you mean about scales as I don’t own any anymore.
I lost weight rather than gained when pregnant, as I ate so so healthily for him (like I never do for me) and he munched through my weight as I was 16/18. I can’t actually fit into the things I wore when pregnant as my arms and thighs were so so much slimmer then. They got that way while pregnant. But when I started BF less when he started to wean the weight piled on and I still have it 4 years later, and some. Time to do something about it, as I want to get pregnant again, and currently too immobile x

  24. September 18, 2014 / 06:43

What a lovely baby bump you have. It’s great that you don’t care about how much you weigh either, that’s a much healthier attitude than standing on the scales every morning and worrying about if/how much weight you might be putting on.
