Life, Lately
Yay
Wednesday I was up super early {for us} waiting for the new freezer to be delivered. I figured while I was up I may as well start on the kitchen. So by 9am, with a little help from Baya, I’d painted the kitchen walls {pics soon!!!} Those walls look lovely with a fresh coat of paint, even more so since yesterday when Papa put down the lovely new flooring for me. Made a HUGE difference…. next stop is to decorate the bathroom :p
Thursday the kiddos and I took a trip to Chester… they wanted to go to Aberkhan to pick up some fabric, we found a little playpark, ate a picnic lunch in the Catherdral grounds, visited the musuem, the Disney shop, Lush AND Paperchase before heading home exhausted. I have to say, after two busy days, this Mama had very tired and weary legs.
Friday was an easier day… a little work in the morning, followed by a playdate a friends in teh afternoon, and a family movie night in the evening.
The kiddos have groups all day today, tomorrow is for collecting all the sticks that are down the woods into a pile ready to be used as kindling this winter. It’s certainly getting a little cooler now – especially come the evenings. I’ll be glad of the warmth of an open fire in a couple of months time.
I suffer from Raynauds Syndrome – a condition that affects blood flow to my extremities – meaning my fingers and toes go numb and white, I suffer from chilblains too, and it can be really painful in the winter. I’ve learnt the best way of dealing with it is to wrap up warm. To wear thick socks and slippers in the house as soon as the weather cools down, to keep my feet extra snuggly and warm when we’re out and about and always wear gloves. I recently got sent some fab Heatholders socks and gloves. They are the best thermal socks that I’ve come across, with a tog rating of 2.3 they’re really warm and fleecy feeling, and I can’t wait to put them to use this winter! As I’m going to be pushing a pushchair again this winter, my fingers will be grateful to be wrapped up warm in the gloves too!

September 14, 2014 at 09:03My friend also suffers from Raynauds too – where did you get the gloves from or was it online? Busy week! I’m going to miss our log fire this year, we’ve switched rooms & now it’s in our dining room & not the cosy lounge!
