Maternity Series – Week 25

maternity series - week twenty five

Another week gone! 15 to go… I’m still feeling really good, not too tired, not too achey. You can feel and see the kicks and wriggles now – the girls think it’s really funny that we can see him moving inside my tummy! He always wakes up at night after my loo visit, and wriggles away as I go back to sleep!

I went out on my own the other day and a lady at a checkout asked if it was my first, she looked shocked when I said that it was number four ;) ha!

Thankfully the crazy lady hormones seem to have settled down a little the last day or two and I’m not crying all over the show! Baby clothes are all washed and put away in his drawers, I’m fully stocked on cloth nappies, slings and pretty much everything else I need. We’re all set and just need the bubba now.

The girls enjoyed this video, looking at how a foetus develops over the course of a pregnancy. Baya has been asking more baout how the baby got there and how it’s going to get out. We’ve talked about it before I was pregnant, but it’s a great opportunity to talk ‘birds and bees’ again now. I always answer the questions that they ask honestly, in language and detail appropriate to how old they are.

It’s so great that your three other littlies can really get involved with the baby’s development and bond with him before he arrives. Very cute. By the way, I love that bunting behind you x

Your bump is very compact still. The bit in the middle is usually quite nice, no morning sickness and you don’t feel uncomfortable.

You are looking amazing and it’s good to hear that your hormones are giving you a break, I can remember those days of crying over anything and everything.

Looking good! I can never understand how shop assistants think they can comment on customers’ lives and I used to work in a shop!

As always, you look amazing! It’s great that you’re really honest about reproduction. Hopefully it means your kids feel at ease to talk to you about anything when they get older. x

I always get a look when I say I have six, although today I was out when an ex-colleague saw me and asked if Sebby was my grandchild…….not impressed!

You look great. People always look at me in horror when I say I have 4 children, then say something stupid like “Don’t you have a tv?”

I think being honest on a level they understand is the best way to discuss pregnancy.
The video was a really good way to help them too x
