Maternity Series – Week 24

maternity series week twentyfour

16 weeks or so to go…. yes, this week I’m feeling like I just want my baby already ;) Honestly, I’m feeling pretty good for a pregnant Mama but right now it feels like forever until I’m due. Little bump is getting really active now. I can feel him kicking and wriggling so much more everyday. Last night I woke up for my nightly loo visit {ugh – hate it!} and as soon as I laid back in bed he was kicking away. He’s still sitting really low, when he moves sometimes it feels really uncomfortable, with a little too much pressure down there. There’s been a few times when he must of rolled right over, and it feels like my whole tummy has flipped!

I’ve been really tired this past week, though I think that is mainly down to my terrible sleep habits… I really really need to start getting to bed a little a lot earlier. I think I’m going to have to ban myself from reading or confiscate my tablet at this rate, I start off with good intentions and get into bed at a fairly sensible hour, and then proceed to read until the early hours.

dear baby week twentyfour

I love how the girls will come up and kiss my belly from time to time, those little “hello baby” and “goodnight baby’s” are so sweet! I’ve definelty been feeling all the emotions this week…. any little thing can make me cry, good or bad! I’ve had to start censoring what I let myself read else I’ll be sobbing all day long.

No real cravings this week, I still have quite a sweet tooth, but don’t give in to it very often. I have found myself stood in the cake aisle at the supermarket on more than one occasion, drooling over all the goodness, but forcing myself to not buy every single thing!

Did you have a sweet tooth when you were pregnant?

You are looking good and well! I always have a sweet tooth, and pregnancy gave me the excuse to indulge it – something I regret now when I am still a stone heavier 3 years later…

Ah 16 weeks does seem like a long time, but I am sure it will whiz by. I didn’t have a sweet tooth, just a few things I couldn’t eat or drink. Tea shockingly for me and chinese food. x

I had a massively sweet tooth during my second pregnancy. I put on soooo much weight! You look lovely in this pic – funny to think about that corn-sized baby twisting around at night though!

You have such a cute bump! It is so sweet how your children will come and kiss and say goodbye to baby. My boys were never really interested in my bump but I think maybe that was because they were quite young.

watch for anaemia at this stage- could explain the tiredness. I had a really sweet tooth and paid the price with gestational diabetes! Although it disappeared after each of the children.

My son moved about so much and turned early so he was always bouncing on my bladder!

Wow, I wish I looked as good as you when I was pregnant. What a gorgeous picture. I remember that sweet tooth, but think I indulged in it occasionally.

Oh I do miss those kicks – it’s magical although I do also remember how it could be downright uncomfortable. That bump is really coming along nicely!

Aw the bump is growing. Those night time loo visits were one of my worst parts of pregnancy – desperate for sleep but always needing to wee!!

Such a cute bump! I’m almost 31 weeks now and sometimes I think my stomach is going to explode as baby seems to be jumping right out!! So strange isn’t it? x x

Lovely baby bump! I’ve not had much sugar cravings throughout my pregnancy. I’ve mainly been craving salty things, like proper Swedish salty liquorice. Sugar and anything sweet like chocolate gives me the worst heartburn so as much as I can I try to avoid that. Hopefully that’ll stop once the baby is born, I do like my chocolate and sweets.

You look absolutely stunning! I can totally relate with the emotions – I’ve been the same throughout this pregnancy. My daughter starts school tomorrow and I’m already steeling myself not to cry. Hope the sleep gets better for you – I find listening to meditation clips on YouTube helps if I feel awake at night. Thank you for linking up to #BlogBumpClub! x

You look gorgeous. The girls are so sweet talking to baby. :-) I loved sweet, stodgy food when pregnant- custard slices etc. I did indulge then used to feel really over tired after. Yuck. I’m really trying to up my iron at the moment as sick of feeling so tired (not even pregnant! ;-) ). I probably need to change my sleeping habits too… x
