Maternity Series – Week 17

Week Seventeen. Pregnancy

Seventeen weeks – this pregnancy is flying by! I’m feeling pretty good, the tiredness has eased off – I’m still tired, but it’s not so all consuming as it was. I think I’ve been hit by an early case of nesting! The baby’s room has been cleared out, walls painted, Papa has mended a broken floorboard and put up a new curtain rail. I’m hoping to get some carpet this week to go in there. I’ve also been decluttering the rest of the house like a crazy lady! I’m aware that I should do these things now, while I have the time and energy. We have a busy summer coming up and by the time we’ve stopped it’ll be mid-October already.

Dear Baby.... week seventeen

I’m hoping to pick up my moses basket from a friend who’d borrowed it this week. I got a fab pram the other day, bought off a friend of a friend who’d only used it for two months. Baya and I tried out her doll in there! I’m hanging on buying any clothes until we know what sex the baby is.

I don’t really have any inkling as to boy or girl – I’m trying not to guess. I feel exactly the same this time around as I did in all my other pregnancies, so we’ll see ;) Still craving lots of fresh fruit – nothing strange! We’re counting down until the next scan – I’m so impatient!!

Good idea to start getting things prepared early. Pregnancy can seem like forever except when you need to get things sorted!

You look completely fab! And you already sound more organised than we are. Although we did get the moses basket, car seat and loads of baby clothe delivered from storage (Alex’s parent’s attic!) Fresh fruit sounds like a good craving, especially in this weather – yum x

Such anticipation! I bet you all can’t wait to meet the new baby. I love getting hand me downs and bargains from people – so much better than buying everything new and spending a fortune.
