Homeschooling looks like this

IMG_8370 IMG_8372IMG_8373 IMG_8374

Homeschooling {for us} in the summer is always a lot more relaxed… winter is our time for projects and studies. When the weather is nice, we find ourselves outdoors – either in the garden or out and about at the river/beach/etc The girls still do bits here and there, Lola spent ages one day last week working on World Cup tables {and didn’t even complain about doing maths!}. She’s also working her way through a course about England in the time of Richard III.

There’s still lots of reading, some science experiments and lots of crafts. Kiki and Baya spent the other morning weaving some rugs for their dolls houses – and now they’ve hidden the finished articles before I had chance to snap a photo!

Homeschooling is something which i’m considering for my little one when she’s old enough although hubby is totally against! So lovely to see your posts, really inspiring, may have to leave the laptop open for hubby to “find” – stopping by from the #MMWBH

Great photos! Typical that they have hidden the finished article! I am so in awe of people who homeschool! I don’t know if i would have the patience to do it! x #MMWBH

The Richard III course is great, I’ve done it. (I’m a member of the society too)
My son finishes nursery in two weeks and then we are home educating – couldn’t find the right school for him as he has moderate – severe autism. Enjoying hearing about the things you do home schooling :)

Love reading these posts, as I think they really demystify at lot around homeschooling, and explain the parts that people aren’t really aware of. Your summer ‘term’ sounds like an awful lot of fun x.

I am so interested in home schooling. Luckily we have great schools, but if we didn’t I would love to do it. x

Thanks for sharing these photos. My son will start school this September and it is something new for me, for us. Seeing what home schooling looks like is nice. To see the options or other ways children learn is an eye opener. I love the variety of how children learn. #mmwbh

I love this series polly. I think that crafts like this are brilliant educationally, they focus really heavily on crafts like knitting in the Steiner schools don’t they x

I love reading these posts. I still don’t know what to do about the school situation and it’s getting closer to the time when I need to decide. There is a Steiner school opening near us apparently but I don’t really know that much about them, then I’m looking at flexi-schooling as I’m sure I would be very good at doing it full-time. It’s so hard to decide! Those weaved rugs look like so much fun! x

Home-schooling looks like it really fits with your family, such a better education for our children. I have so many difficulties with my oldest daughters school and have often thought of home-schooling. I have a friend in Australia who home-schools her children and they totally love it. Really interesting hearing your story. #MMWBH

Wo I love the weaving!! What a lovely way to spend part of a day. I agree summer is for fun outdoors and exploring nature, winter is for indoor “serious” time :)

Love this post! Love what the girls are doing in the photos, what is that called? I know my daughter would love to get in on that to make things for her dolls house too. Thanks so much for linking up with #MMWBH xx
