A Roman day out in Chester
Happy
We watched displays of dancing and the Roman Army showing us some of their ‘moves’. Plus we got to see the Gladiators fight a bear ;)
Miss Kiki volunteered for the kids army. She got to dress up in armour and go into the amphitheatre and ‘fight’. Her Papa volunteered to be an Ancient Brit and fight the Romans. It was funny to see her seek her Papa out each time to ‘kill’ with the sword.
Kiki and Baya also went to have a go at dancing with the beautiful Egyptian ladies. They loved it, especially the ‘jangly scarfs’ they got to wear. Lola spent most of the afternoon laying down, recovering from a busy day out with the Guides on Saturday. We finished the day off with ice-creams on the way to get our coach home {I may have had a very yummy oreo ice cream sandwich!!}

June 2, 2014 at 14:14That looks a lot of fun! Colchester Castle has reopened at last and they are good for this kind of thing. The painted back drop is stunning, makes it look a vast space!
