It’s the weekend!! Our week started off with sunshine and blue skies… ice-lollies were a necessity! By the end of the week, we had heavy rain and chilly temperatures :/ Not impressed! Thankfully I managed to find the energy to do a whole load of gardening at the beginning of the week. I weeded and dug over the rest of the veggie patch, ready for corn, squash, beans and other goodies. I planted up the courgette plants and the first lot of squash and cucumber plants. It’s great to see everything growing now and know that there will be lots of veg for the picking in a short while. Our first lot of salad is ready for picking, I sow it in containers every couple of weeks all through the summer until the autumn arrives – so we have fresh salad on hand all summer long.

We’ve been out a couple of times with the Rainbows this week aside from our usual meeting [where we made volcanoes!] – we took them to the Big Brownie Birthday on Sunday, and then to Techniquest on Thursday to go inside the Star Dome. I’m in uniform with them now, and officially a leader-in-training ;) It’s good fun, I love spending time with the littlies there.

The rest of the week has been a lazy one. Lots of early nights, and even an afternoon nap! We baked cookies, played some games, watched a couple of documentaries and on Friday night, we took the kiddos to the Art College for the students final art show.

And that’s about it! Still tired… still needing to find a big pile of energy! Papa’s taking the little girls to their gym class this afternoon, so can take Lola shoe shopping – and perhaps for a treat at a cafe ;)

Hope you all have a fab weekend – what do you have planned?

I love your china patterns – and Belvita biccies are my current fave. I have a hubby who likes to show his pants when he bends over too – wish I could get him doing more DIY though ;-)
