The end of another busy week. I’ve been busy decorating the living//dining room this week. The whole house was painted Magnolia when we moved in, it’s time to rectify that! I hate magnolia… the kitchen and bathroom were done last year, as were the girls bedrooms. The downstairs has been on my list to-do for a long time. Our house is quite old, and the downstairs has beamed ceilings and is quite dark. I opted to paint the walls pure white – fresher than magnolia, and a nice backdrop to my colourful belongings! I picked up a can of ‘dark duck egg’ for the chimney breast – it’s one of my favourite colours {and goes with the new rug I got the other week}. I re-painted my office with a fresh coat of white also, it’s amazing how much of a difference a fresh coat of paint can make! Next on my decorating list is my bedroom… and then the hall and stairs {that might be a job for papa though!!}

Baya was excited to be sent a couple of new toys to play with. I don’t think she’s ever watched Doc McStuffins, but she loved the Mini Clinic Playset. She loves playing doctors, so this set was perfect for her – cute, and portable. I love that it encourages imaginative play – though she managed to break one of the girls arm’s off pretty quickly :/ She also fell in love with the Sky Dancer that we got. A cute little fairy, that actually fly! They come with a flower base that you pop them into, pull the cord, and watch them fly up high. For my princess loving girl, this was a perfect toy. The dolls are really pretty too.

We caught up with some friends yesterday afternoon, today is a home day – the kiddos have lots of projects they want to work on. Saturday day is full of kiddo clubs and then we are looking forward to going to this with the kiddos on Saturday Night. Sunday – who knows!!! What do you have planned for the weekend lovelies??

    I’m just painting my house at the moment too although I am going from every room being a colour back to plain! I wanted to paint every room white but my OH is making me do it magnolia which I HATE too! My mum was obsessed with it growing up and everything had to be magnolia. YUK! x

    Love that color on the chimney wall! It’s very similar to our bedroom color (ours is Robin’s Egg Blue). I really want a nice iPod radio as well. . .right now I usually just use the computer but that’s only useful if I’m in the living room! That gigantic wordsearch is awesome, and those flowers were gorgeous! My weekend is full of catching up on housecleaning, and some drawing projects. All good things!
