Bosley Bear
It’s
We loaded the book onto our Kindle and took it away with us at the weekend. Baya really enjoyed reading it, the story, while short, was fun and grabbed her attention. The first read through we just read the English and looked at the high-lighted Spanish words. Once we knew the story, we started to read it again in Spanish. We both picked up a few new words {as did her big sisters}. We loved the cute illustrations also {especially the owl!!}
As a parent, I love to share books with my children, and this being dual language is fantastic! To be able to learn a little of a foreign language whilst enjoying a story is a great idea. We’ll definelty be buying some of the other stories in the series.
About the Author..
Tim Johnson is an author in a variety of fields, most notably dual-language children’s illustrated picture books and martial arts non-fiction.
Tim discovered the power of bilingual books while visiting Japan as a teenager. In 2011 he published his first dual language children’s book in 7 different foreign languages as a tool for increasing cultural awareness and gaining new perspectives. Bosley Bear has since become popular among US and international readers, providing a fantastic way for children to learn a second language in a fun, easy and natural way.

Tim has been kind enough to offer one print copy of Bosley Builds a Treehouse to one lucky winner! You get to pick the second language of your choice, and it will be with you in time for Christmas – this would make a great present for a child. You can enter below.
We received a copy of the book to review, but all opinions are our own.
